Administration of a parish council is governed by legal powers and duties created by Acts of Parliament as well as its own Standing Orders and policies – copies of Council's Standing Orders/Powers & Duties for Parish Councils/Policies may be found in – Policies and Procedures
Areas of administration for the Highmoor Parish Council include:-
The Glebe amenity land transferred to the Highmoor Parish Council in 2018 with responsibility for all maintenance works
The Recreation Ground owned by the Highmoor Parish Council and currently the subject of a proposed 7 year lease with 3 Cricket Clubs ie Highmoor Cricket Club/Reading Lions Cricket Club/West Berkshire Cricket Club
War Memorial located in the car park for Memorial Hall
Noticeboard located in the car park for Memorial Hall
Telephone Kiosk located on The Common
Dog bins (3) located adjacent to Recreation Ground/The Common/corner of
junction of Stoke Row Road/Witheridge Hill
Grasscutting - The Common and grass verges at Highmoor Cross (land under the management of the Nettlebed Conservators)
Wooden posts located on The Cross
Village entrance gates one pair each at the village entrance (northbound) and (southbound)

Our committees have specific tasks and can have delegated powers.
The Parish Clerk works from home 4 hours per week during mornings spread over Mondays to Fridays - emails and telephone messages are checked regularly and replies made where possible within 48 hours (weekdays)
